Often I’ve struggled with writing an article or working on my stories trying to at least get something on the page to work with. In the past it was extremely difficult, however, these days there is a lot less struggle. Tips like the ones featured in this article helped me get over that initial hump. While there is no single set of rules to working around blocks many sets have common tips, this article is no different in that regard, there are a lot of goodies included.
This one in particular stands out:
2. Turn off the word count
Counting each and every word you get on the page is not going to help you relax. Turn off your word counter in your word processing software and quit counting your paragraphs so you can focus on the message you’re trying to convey instead of the number of words (or lack thereof) that are housed on your screen.
Hopefully if you are struggling these tips can help you in a similar way they helped me.
